"We do not stop playing because we get old; we get old because we stop playing". George Bernard Shaw
Monthly Playgroup Schedule

1:00 - 1:30 PM Free Play

This is the time when our friends are arriving and settling in.  We have several toy stations set up for our littles to play and meet new friends while they wait for Circle Time to start.

1:30 - 2:15 PM Circle Time

This is our learning time where one of our Helping Hands volunteers will lead our littles through discovery of many subjects.  Each Circle Time includes core subjects (colors, shapes, letters, numbers etc) and theme based subjects (space, farm animals, dinosaurs etc).  We explore with songs, stories and movement.  Participation is encouraged but not required for our shy littles.

2:15 - 2:45 PM Arts & Crafts

Each month we have an art activity for our littles to create to take home for their fridge.  Art is a teacher-led activity and all supplies are provided with the entry fee to the event.

2:45 - 3:00 PM Transition to Snack Time

This is when our little friends can line up and wash their hands while the Helping Hands clean up Art and set up our Snack Time activity.

3:00 - 3:30 PM Snack Time

Find a place at the table, friends!  We provide a delicious and nutritious meal for our littles (and Bigs) complete with placemats, dishes and sippy cups.  Helping Hands are ready to serve seconds and thirds and wipe off sticky fingers.

3:30 - 5:00 PM Free Play & Movie Time

This is our big Free Play time of the day where all of our friends are able to play with any station and really get to know their new friends. During this time we also play a themed movie and have a cuddle space available.

5:00 - 5:15 PM Cleanup

We sing the Cleanup Song and put away all of our classroom toys!

5:15 - 5:45 PM Group Activity

Each month we have a themed group activity ranging from a flashlight planets search to making valentines to "milking" a cow.  This is a teacher-led activity and always brings new friends closer together.

5:45 - 6:00 PM Story Time

We close out the day with Story Time, reading one or more books relating to our monthly theme.

Field Trips

Several times per year we plan field trips to various locations for our little friends to enjoy.  These events are usually held in PUBLIC SPACES and littles that are shy about being little in public, may wish to skip these events.  While they are public spaces, we attempt to create as comfortable an environment as possible.

Some of our past and upcoming field trips:

* Finding Dory in the movie theater

* Park Playdate at a park that provides little toys for BIG KIDS.

* Bug Museum

* Zoo

Sleepover Slumber Parties

Join Tiny Totz overnight at our usual venue for staying up late, eating pizza and popcorn and watching movies, playing games and general socializing.  We have makeover supplies including hair ties and bows, nail polish and makeup, as well as a Super Nintendo game station, Twister, and lots of movies to choose from.  In the morning we will be providing breakfast and Saturday Morning Cartoons!

This is an overnight event, please bring your own pajamas, toiletries and bedding/air mattress.
